Svetlana Golobova
At the age of fourteen, Svetlana Gololobova left her home in Kazakhstan to begin training as a circus artist at the State Circus School in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. With exceptional proficiency in hand balancing, she advanced to study at the State College for Circus in Moscow, graduating in 1981.
Lana’s artistry has graced Moscow Circus, Circus Nikulin, Cirque Parasol, Cirque du Soleil, and Orlando’s Sea World; and she has won numerous, international Circus competitions. Her desire to constantly challenge her abilities prompted her to recreate the seemingly impossible “one finger” balance act of the legendary equilibrist and Circus Ring of Fame member, Unus.
